Wow is all I have to say after spending Sunday afternoon at the Carolina Raptor Center’s Photo WILD! event. They do an incredible job with these birds of prey. All the birds on exhibit to visitors or used in educational programs are non-releasable. These birds have either permanent physical injuries or they are imprinted on humans. Either problem prevents them from surviving in the wild.
The Photo WILD event allows photographers to get up close and personal with some of these birds and take photos without the restraints of a cage. We’ll have a new gallery ready to go later this week with some of these gorgeous creatures. Look for “Rescue Me” by Friday.
